Group Classes
Regulation 101
A three-part series of classes designed to:
Teach grown-ups the inner workings of a kiddo’s mind and body
Provide developmentally-appropriate techniques
Create empowered caregivers and resilient children
Class 1
Beaker Basics
The Science of Regulation
You’ll learn all about regulation- what it is and what it is not. We deep dive into the science behind nervous system regulation and how it impacts the brain and the body of adults and kiddos. We will provide information, real-life examples, evidence-based tools, and practical strategies to self-regulate and begin the co-regulation process with kiddos.
Class 2
The Bonding Reaction
Co-Regulation in Action
You’ll learn the who, what, why, how, when of co-regulation. We demonstrate skills for maintenance and in-the-moment co-regulation techniques. We will provide scripts for different situations, evidence-based exercises that can immediately be implemented, and begin to touch on holding boundaries while supporting kiddos through their big feelings.
Class 3
The Containment Formula
Boundaries and Outcomes
You’ll learn what a boundary is and how to practice setting and holding one. We cover what a natural consequence is and why those work best for kiddos’ brains. We address the feelings that come up when setting a boundary and provide age-appropriate language to use. The class includes practical tools, resources, and real-life examples with time to practice.
